EU ETS MANAGEMENT

The European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) is expanding to include the maritime sector as part of its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This update introduces significant changes for the shipping industry. Entities such as Ship owners and shipping companies will be subject to an emissions cap with allowances auctioned within the ETS.

AAC offers all relevant services to shipowners, managers or operators to follow the EU-MRV regulations for the monitoring and reportingof carbon emissions applicable to cargo ships and passenger ships above 5000 GT from 2024. This will include collection of the relevant data to ensure accuracy and compliance as well as account management and setup services to maintain records of issued allowances, transactions, and account balances.
